Easter fires Dons to victory

Two goals in the opening seven minutes by Jermaine Easter gave MK Dons a 2-1 win at Exeter.

The Dons made the perfect start with a goal inside the first minute. There was a suspicion of handball in the build-up, but with nothing given, Luke Chadwick crossed for Easter to score after just 33 seconds.

Exeter were shell-shocked, but worse was to follow as Easter picked up a loose ball on the edge of the penalty box and fired a shot goalwards that squirmed under Paul Jones and rolled over the line.

Barry Corr missed three good chances to get Exeter back into the game, but six minutes into the second half, the big striker did get his name on the scoresheet as he latched onto Alex Russell's deep cross and planted a form volley into the opposite corner.

Exeter pressed for an equaliser but lacked a cutting edge and the defeat leaves them still looking for their first home win of the season.
