    1658: Arsenal are keeping possession late on at Upton Park as West Ham search for an equaliser.

    1656: The full-time whistle has gone at Fratton park, the final score was 7-4, I think we can safely assume that will be the highest scoring game in the Premier League this season.

    1655: Yet another goal has gone in at Fratton Park! Nicky Shorey's free-kick deflected off Sol Campbell to bring The Royals a late consolation goal.

    1654: Sunderland have lost again, this time 2-1 at home to Blackburn.

    1653: Portsmouth are in seventh heaven as a penalty from Muntari puts them 7-3 in front. What a game at Fratton Park!

    1652: The full-time whistles have gone at Wigan and Chelsea as an afternoon of fantastic action in the Premier League starts to come to an end.

    1651: Gillingham have grabbed a last minute equaliser at home to Leeds through an Ian Cox header.

    1649: Julius Agahowa has headed over from six yards for Wigan at home to Liverpool.

    1644: The hero of Old Trafford on Wednesday night, Michael Mifsud, has equalised for Coventry against Charlton with a well-placed finish past Addicks keeper Nicky Weaver.

    1643: Yet another goal at Fratton Park! Sean Davis shoots from 30 yards and sees his shot deflected into the net past the helpless Hahnemann in the Reading goal.

    1641: Torres is clean through on goal at the JJB, but the Spain international dwells on the ball and Titus Bramble comes across to win possession for Wigan.

    1640: Shane Long volleys the ball past David James to pull a goal back for Reading against Portsmouth.

    1621: Leeds have had their second striker sent-off with Jermaine Beckford making his way back to the dressing room after picking up his second booking against Gillingham.

    1619: Eboue plays the ball across the box to Robin van Persie whose effort is palmed onto the post by Robert Green in the Arsenal goal.

    1618: Paul Scharner flicks the ball over Peper Reina but it goes just wide of the Liverpool goal.

    1617: Distin's cross from the left is punched by Hahnemann straight to Hermann Hreidarsson who fires the ball into an empty net to put Portsmouth ahead against Reading.

    1613: Roque Santa Cruz's deflected effort finds its way to David Bentley who fires the ball into the back of the net to put Blackburn ahead against Sunderland.

    1610: Dave Kitson heads the ball towards goal, and with David James nowhere to be seen, the ball drifts into the back of the net. Reading are level and will hope to put Portsmouth firmly on the backfoot.

    1610: Matty Fryatt has equalised for Leicester at Stoke with a well-placed finish past Steve Simonsen.

    1605: Bad news for Chelsea and England fans is coming in from Stamford Bridge, John Terry has gone off injured at half-time with a suspected fractured cheekbone. It seems unlikely the England captain will play in his country's next two Euro 2008 qualifiers.

    1604: Back under way all around the country and Chelsea have gone close early on with Keller saving a close-range effort by Joe Cole.

    1551: It is half-time at Upton Park and Arsenal will be delighted to go to the break 1-0 ahead through a well placed striker from Robin van Persie.

    1549: Chelsea go in at the break level with Fulham and Avram Grant willbe hoping to inspire his side with his first half-time teamtalk at Stamford Bridge.

    1548: Liam Rosenior has scored for Reading to pull a goal back against Portsmouth. There is some doubt about whether the ball crossed the line, but the linesman has given the goal.

    1547: Its half-time at the JJB and Wigan go into the break level with Liverpool.

    1546: Benjani picks up the ball on the left and cuts it back to Glen Johnson who sees his shot tipped over the bar by a super save from Reading keeper Hahnemann.

    1545: Tresor Kandol has been sent off for Leeds at Gillingham after receiving his second booking for sarcasticly applauding a decision from the referee.

    1543: Republic of Ireland international Stephen Elliott has given Wolves the lead away at Plymouth with a good finish from close range.

    1542: On-loan Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Johnson has put Championship leaders Watford ahead against Blackpool.

    1540: Benjani picks the ball up in midfield, beats two players, then shifts it onto his right foot to score from long range to put Portsmouth 2-0 ahead against Reading.

    1538: Alexander Hleb has picked up an injury and has left the field as Arsenal lead against West Ham.

    1537: Portsmouth's Papa Bouba-Diop drills the ball towards the bottom right-hand corner of the goal, only to see Hahnemann produce a super save.

    1534: Joe Cole drives the ball across the six-yard box where Didier Drogba dives towards it but is unable to make contact.

    1533: Jhon Viafara has put Southampton ahead at Sheffield United, after Paddy Kenny parried a cross straight into the midfielder's path.

    1529: Jason Koumas' crossfield pass has been intercepted by Torres who storms through one-on-one with Chris Kirkland and sends his effort just wide of the Wigan keeper's left-hand post.

    1528: Watford's Darius Henderson's header is clawed away from goal by Blackpool keeper Paul Rachubka.

    1526: Billy Davies is being sent to the stands by the referee at Pride Park after cutting a frustrated figure on the sidelines.

    1525: Portsmouth are in complete control against Reading. Marcus Hahnemann has blocked a shot from the edge of the area by Nico Kranjcar

    1517: Charlton are 1-0 up against Coventry, thanks to a super finish from Lloyd Sam. The Sky Blues will need to show the same fight they had at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

    1516: David Jones is being warned by the referee as he produces another late tackle at Pride Park. The Derby midfielder has already been booked.

    1503: John Terry has gone down injured after a challenge with David Healy. He should be fine to continue.

    1502: Liverpool have started well against Wigan with Steven Gerrard hitting a free-kick from 35 yards just wide of goal.

    1458: Inverness player-manager Craig Brewster sits out the Clydesdale Bank Premier League match against Falkirk due to a shoulder injury.

    His starting XI is the same line-up as Brewster fielded against Hearts in the SPL last weekend, when the manager came off the bench to score the winner. The six players who missed the CIS Insurance Cup win over Gretna on Tuesday are restored to the side.

    Falkirk, who beat Motherwell in the league last week but suffered a cup defeat to Dundee United on Tuesday, show their intentions by selecting a front three of Michael Higdon, Pedro Moutinho and Carl Finnigan.

    1457: Aberdeen welcome back defender Zander Diamond for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League match at home to Gretna after the defender overcame a 'flu virus.

    In the only change to the side who won 2-0 at Partick in the CIS Insurance Cup on Wednesday, Diamond replaces Ricky Foster, who drops to the bench.

    Gretna make six changes to the team who lost 3-0 at Inverness on Tuesday night, with David Cowan, Chris Innes, Paul Murray, Gavin Skelton, Fabian Yantorno and Nicky Deverdics all coming back into head coach Davie Irons' side.

    1455: Hibernian and Kilmarnock make five changes each as both clubs seek to bounce back from CIS Insurance Cup defeats in midweek.

    Easter Road manager John Collins hands defender Darren McCormack a start on his 19th birthday in place of Chris Hogg, who has a hip injury.

    Fit-again striker Steven Fletcher is recalled after he missed the 4-2 defeat to Motherwell with a shin inury, while Kevin McCann, Filipe Morais and Ross Chisholm are also handed starts.

    Injury-ravaged Killie, meanwhile, are also seeking to quickly erase the memory of Tuesday's surprise 2-0 loss at First Division leaders Hamilton.

    Former Hearts defender Gary Locke is back in the team, with Ryan O'Leary, Jamie Hamill, Ryan Jarvis and Aime Koudou are also in a much-changed side.

    1453: Portsmouth are aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the season in front of their own fans while Reading are searching for their first away win.

    Indeed the Royals have only beaten Pompey once in the past 25 years with that solitary success 10 years ago at Fratton Park.

    Both sides have won their last Premier League fixtures, with Portsmouth winning at Blackburn and Reading beating Wigan at home.

    Pompey are without top scorer Kanu through injury so Benjani Mwaruwari takes his place up front. Reading stick with the side that beat Wigan last week.

    1451: Under-pressure Bolton manager Sammy Lee retains faith with the side who secured a draw against Tottenham last week for today's trip to rock-bottom Derby.

    Lee's decision means a return to the starting line-up for Ivan Campo, who scored the equaliser against Spurs but subsequently sat out of Bolton's midweek extra-time Carling Cup victory over Fulham.

    Bidding to bounce back from their 5-0 thrashing at Arsenal last weekend, Rams boss Billy Davies makes two changes with Jay McEveley and David Jones replacing Gary Teale and Andy Griffin, both of whom drop to the bench.

    1450: Fernando Torres avoids the axe of Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez's rotation policy as he starts the Barclays Premier League match with Wigan at the JJB Stadium.

    Benitez has made seven changes from the team that faced the Royals, but only two from the side that drew at home to Birmingham a week ago, with Torres and Alvaro Arbeloa replacing Andriy Voronin and Ryan Babel.

    Wigan, who have lost all four previous league games to Liverpool without scoring a goal, make two changes from the team beaten 2-1 at Reading last week.

    Julius Aghahowa starts his first game this season with Antoine Sibierski out with a hamstring injury, while Emmerson Boyce takes over from Andreas Granqvist.

    1449: Blackburn boss Mark Hughes has left Robbie Savage and Morten Gamst Pedersen sitting on the bench for the clash with Sunderland.

    The pair, along with striker Benni McCarthy, were rested for the midweek Carling Cup victory over Birmingham, but are named only among the substitutes, while the South African did not make the 16.

    Stephen Warnock returns in place of Martin Olsson, while Roque Santa Cruz comes in for the injured Jason Roberts.

    Hughes' former Manchester United team-mate Roy Keane makes only one change to the side which drew 2-2 at Middlesbrough last weekend, with Liam Miller, whose late goal snatched a point at the Riverside Stadium, taking over from the suspended Dickson Etuhu.

    1447: Celtic manager Gordon Strachan makes three changes for the visit of Dundee United in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

    An under-strength Parkhead team beat Dundee in the CIS Insurance Cup in midweek and Strachan has drafted back in defender Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe and midfielders Paul Hartley and Aiden McGeady.

    John Kennedy, Evander Sno and Derek Riordan all drop to the bench and for the ninth game in a row, Scott McDonald partners Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in attack.

    Tannadice boss Craig Levein is relieved to have the presence of Scotland international Barry Robson and Morgaro Gomis, both players having shrugged off knocks picked up during the CIS Cup win over Falkirk in midweek.

    1445: Former Gunners Freddie Ljungberg and Matthew Upson line up for West Ham against Arsenal at Upton Park.

    Midfielder Scott Parker makes his long awaited first Premier League start for the Hammers, but there is no place for injured striker Craig Bellamy. England hopeful Dean Ashton leads the attack.

    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recalls his big guns following the midweek win over Newcastle.

    Alexander Hleb passed a fitness test on his knee, while Robin van Persie returns to the attack alongside leading scorer Emmanuel Adebayor.
