After taking his first podium finish with Bridgestone tyres at Honda's home Grand Prix, Dani Pedrosa came back to work this morning.
The Repsol Honda rider continued his adaptation to the pneumatic-valve RC212V engine and the Bridgestone tyres that he has used since the Indianapolis Grand Prix. In total he completed 22 laps, with a best time of 1.48.110.At around 13:00 rain cut the test session short.
It gave Pedrosa and his whole team a chance to celebrate his 23rd birthday, with a giant cake specially baked for the occasion.
The Repsol Honda rider has no time to rest. Tonight he will fly to Australia for the next round of the World championship. The Australian GP takes place at Phillip Island next Sunday, October 5.
Dani Pedrosa : “This morning we mainly concentrated on engine tests, comparing data and performance with some different electronic mapping. It is important for us to keep on learning about this bike, and working to improve the set up of the pneumatic-valve engine with Bridgestone tyres. We started testing before 10.00am, but we couldn't do too many laps because it started raining around lunch time. Then came a surprise from the team in the garage, when they produced a big cake for my birthday.”

Er...i'm not too sure about that. I'm as big a Honda fan as anybody(i've got 2 of them), but they're just not at the top of their game currently. In fact, they're only just in the game. i'd put money on them sorting things out sooner rather than later, but the fact is that Yam's M1 is all conquering this season. The Duke is obviously good too, but it seems only Stoner can ride it properly. This situation could well change next year, but the Mighty H have lots of work to do. Time will tell
what do you know acer you muppet, dani's kicking both their arses next year, so make the most of your glory day's as their coming to an end!!!!!!
sorry dani, test all you like but you still won,t beat stoner and rossi
