WTA Tour - Mauresmo splits from coach

Former world number one Amelie Mauresmo has decided to part company with coach Loic Courteau.

Courteau had been Mauresmo's coach for six years, helping her reach the number one spot in 2004 and win the Australian Open and Wimbledon titles in 2006.

Mauresmo has dropped to 25th in the WTA rankings following a string of injury woes.

She has also been knocked out in the first round of her last two event, with Slovakian youngster Dominika Cibulkova.
