QPR winger Lee Cook is stepping up his rehabilitation from knee surgery.

The injury-hit wideman, who went under the knife in May, has been given the go-ahead to begin light running after his latest MRI scan.

"It's really positive news," said physio Paul Hunter.

"The scan showed significant healing in the area of the knee affected by the injury and that is great news."

Cook has started 28 games for Rangers since rejoining the club from Fulham in August 2008.
