Youngster Carl Skerlong will have his maiden ChampCar World Series test in November with Pacific Coast Motorsport.
The 19-year-old American has secured the test at the Buttonwillow Raceway in California after an impressive rookie year with Pacific Coast's junior team in the ChampCar Atlantic series.
"We're really looking forward to testing Carl in the PCM Champ Car," said team boss Tyler Tadevic.
"We knew when we named him to the PCM JR team that he had the speed and mental ability to succeed in the top level of American open wheel racing. He is a committed young man and I expect he will do very well."
Skerlong finished tenth in the Atlantic championship this year and sixth in the rookie standings, and his test is not expected to lead him to a world series seat until 2009.
