Rory McLeod earned a place in the Masters field after thrashing Andrew Higginson in the qualifying tournament final at Prestatyn.
Both players had looked impressive in their semi-final victories, Higginson knocking out former top-10 player Anthony Hamilton and McLeod demolishing Ben Woollaston.
But while Higginson started the final brightly as he took the opening frame, he then lost the next six frames in a row to his ruthless opponent.
And McLeod was clearly good value for his spot in the Wembley tournament, having not conceded more than two frames to any of his opponents throughout the qualifying event.
Final (Best of 11):
Rory McLeod 6-1 Andrew Higginson
37-74, 48-28, 53-28, 82(56)-0, 63(38)-58, 58-50, 53-24
Semi-final results:
Ben Woollaston 1-5 Rory McLeod
Andrew Higginson 5-3 Anthony Hamilton

Well done Rory.... Televised snooker needs different faces appearing on TV rather than the same old boring top 16.
