NFL - Evans out for season

New Orleans Saints fullback Heath Evans has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
Evans, who joined the Saints as an unrestricted free agent during the off-season, has played an important part this year in New Orleans' 100 per cent start to the season.
In the opening six games, the fullback caught 10 passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns and carried five times for 16 yards and an additional score. Evans suffered knee ligament damage during Sunday's win at Miami.
The Saints have signed 27-year-old former New England and Miami fullback Kyle Eckel to take Evans's spot on the roster.
