It is not often Hull City get the lead in Paper Round, but with speculation swirling over the future of Phil Brown, the Tigers rightly take their place in the spotlight.
Brown is on the verge of getting the chop from his post as Hull manager, an eventuality that edged one step closer when Adam Pearson walked out of Derby on Wednesday night to take over again at the KC Stadium. (The Sun)
According to the report, Paul Duffen has resigned as Hull chairman to pave the way for Pearson's return to Humberside, having sold up his share in the club in 2007.
Duffen had given his support to Brown earlier in the week, but with him now out of the picture, the beleaguered boss's days in the hot seat could well be numbered.

Paul Duffen & Phil Brown have achieved for Hull in the last two years something that has never been done before. How I wish my grandad who supported the club for over 50 years could have witnessed what this pair have done for the club and the city. Phil is like Gary Cooper in 'High Noon'. Character will pull him through.
There is no such county as Humberside. You are so ignorant, its East riding of Yorkshire or East Yorkshire.

Come on, come on - Hull City have been a breath of fresh air to the Prem. They might go down this year but no fair minded footie supporter can be glad about it. Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Duffin - whatever happens now shouldn't diminish their fine achievement.
Good luck Hull, from the Stadium of Light mob.
