Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock is making good progress on his knee injury, according to manager Billy Davies.

The former Southampton and QPR player missed the draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend with the a medial ligament strain.

Davies insists Blackstock is making a good recovery but revealed he won't make the trip to Cardiff on Sunday.

He told the club's official website: "Dexter won't figure at the weekend but we are very pleased with the way he is coming along."
