Boothroyd: We can tame Lions

Colchester boss Aidy Boothroyd is backing his players to stand up to the white-hot atmosphere of Millwall's Den on Saturday.

The Us will put their nine-match unbeaten run on the line against another in-form side, with Millwall having beaten leaders Leeds in their last home outing.

"I like those sorts of atmospheres and challenges and it will be a fantastic occasion," said Boothroyd.

"Both teams are doing very well, so something has to give. It will be a tight and tense game and one little thing might make the difference. Those are the games you want to win.

"I think we've got the character and resilience to take on this challenge and the biggest test we will have is have we got the emotional control and intelligence to cope with the situation?

"I would say that we have - and it is important to be focused on our game and not worry about the crowd and the referee - and our players will do that."
