Peterborough forward George Boyd believes he is repaying manager Darren Ferguson for showing faith in him as he continues his record-breaking run in the side.
Boyd - who scored his ninth goal of the season against Blackburn on Tuesday night - is set for his 127th consecutive league appearance for the club on Saturday since joining from Stevenage in 2007.
He told Press Association Sport: "It is a good run I`m on and touch wood I`ve been very fortunate to steer clear of injuries.
"Even at Stevenage I stayed fit and I don`t remember missing many games for them either.
"What`s more important for me is that I`ve managed to keep my form.
"Obviously there have been a few dips but the manager has always had me in the team which is a confidence boost and I feel I am repaying him now by playing well."
