Aldershot caretaker manager Jason Dodd admits a win at Rotherham on Saturday could go a long way to securing him the job on a full-time basis.
The Shots have lost both games since Dodd and assistant Paul Williams replaced Gary Waddock and the club revealed this week that they have received over 50 applications for the post. But Dodd is happy with how the players have reacted and expects another strong showing at the Don Valley Stadium.
Dodd told Press Association Sport: "A win at Rotherham would obviously help and we are on the whole very happy with how it has gone.
"Results haven`t gone our way but we should have comfortably won both games and the performances were excellent.
"We can`t worry about who else has applied, it`s out of our control so myself and Paul will just keep grafting on the training ground.
"We are happy to be out there and the players seem to be responding and you can`t ask for anything more than that."
