Watford boss Malky Mackay saluted his young side for their efforts during a superb week for the club.
The Hornets shrugged off a spate of injuries and a recent virus to take seven points from a possible nine, beating Middlesbrough and drawing at Ipswich before dismantling Sheffield Wednesday 4-1 at home last time out.
"The staff are absolutely delighted with the players' effort and application," said Mackay.
"They had the courage to go to these places and then come back home and put in a performance.
"We had a lot of travelling. we've got a small squad and had a couple of injuries but they came out of the week great."
