Crocked Nick Montgomery admits to having had a torrid time watching Sheffield United lose their way in recent weeks.
The tough-tackling midfielder suffered damage to his medial knee ligament in the 1-1 home draw with Doncaster earlier this month and has looked on from the sidelines as Kevin Blackwell's side have crashed to three successive league defeats.
Montgomery said: "Because of the way I play I hate watching, especially at the minute when the lads are struggling and I just want to get out there and help the lads.
"Hopefully we can get a result or two in the next couple of games and then I should be available for selection."
He added: "I'm progressing well so it's just a case of doing all the rehab and, hopefully, I should be in contention in a couple of weeks."
