Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still has backed defender Abu Ogogo to learn from his sending-off at Macclesfield last weekend.

The former Arsenal trainee lasted just 10 minutes of the 2-2 draw at Moss Rose before he was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Hamza Bencherif but Still believes he will come back better for it.

Still told Press Association Sport: "I had no complaints about the red card and while the challenge was certainly not malicious, it was reckless.

"The ball was there, he thought he could win it but I didn`t disagree with the decision. We have pointed that out to him and we will show him the video of the incident and let him know that he has to be more selective in when he makes a challenge.

"It`s all part of being a young player and he will learn from the incident."
