Peacock to miss Forest Green tie

Thu 29 Nov, 01:45 PM

Swindon's Lee Peacock is set to be cheering his team-mates from the touchline on Saturday as his thigh strain shows no sign of letting up.The Robins host Blue Square Premier outfit Forest Green in the FA Cup second round at the County Ground but Peacock admits the game may come too soon for him.

"This week I've just been resting because with this injury there is not a lot you can do. It could get worse if you try and do anything too early so we have been monitoring it," Peacock told the club's official website.

"I got the injury right at the end of training on Friday - I tried to play a little pass, then sprinted straight after and it tightened up straight away.

"It's another big game for the club and a place in round three, with the potential big draw, would be more than welcome."
