Corr double denies Cherries

Sat 29 Dec, 06:45 PM

Irishman Barry Corr scored twice to earn Swindon a 2-2 draw in a match Bournemouth would have won but for wasteful finishing at Dean Court.Corr fired Swindon in front three minutes into the second half with a delightful curling shot from 25 yards.

Bournemouth hit back to equalise through substitute Joe Kuffour on 63 minutes, whose introduction at half-time sparked life into the hosts.

But Bournemouth fluffed a series of golden opportunities before Sam Vokes gave them the lead from close range in the 78th minute.

Seven minutes from time, Corr made Bournemouth pay dearly for their profligate finishing with a far post equaliser after Simon Cox had hooked a cross through the goalmouth.
