Stockport have completed the permanent signing of talented young defender James Smith from Premier League giants Liverpool.The 22-year-old has agreed a six-month deal at Edgeley Park after enjoying a loan spell at the League Two outfit earlier in the season.
Smith will make his second debut for the club against Notts County on Saturday January 5.
"I was made up with everything at County when I was here and I didn't want to leave at the time," Smith told Stockport's official website. "I'm made up to be back."
The youngster made one senior appearance for Liverpool, coming on a substitute in a Carling Cup clash against Reading back in October 2006.
