Watford striker Darius Henderson is hoping he can return to the kind of form that helped fire the club to the top of the Championship. The fit-again 26-year-old, who scored seven goals in the opening nine league games of the season, was struggling with injury before Christmas while also being sidelined through suspension.
But after making two successive substitute appearances, Henderson is determined to end a barren spell in front of goal which has coincided with Watford's recent sequence of just two wins in nine games.
"I was struggling a little bit for a few games and with the suspension we saw it as a window of opportunity to get myself back fit," he told the club's official website.
"We were trying to manage my injury, however, it was getting worse so they pulled me out of training and gave me a few weeks of rehab.
"Hopefully these next couple of games will go well and I can stay clear of niggles, kick on and get back in the side and do well for the club."
