Chelsea v Newcastle United

Chelsea will be missing midfielder Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge after he damaged his thigh in Wednesday's 4-4 draw with Aston Villa. The Blues are also missing captain John Terry (broken foot), striker Didier Drogba (knee) and winger Florent Malouda (knee), while defensive pair Ricardo Carvalho and Ashley Cole are both suspended after failing in their appeals against being sent off against Villa.

Newcastle, who have won only two of their last 10 league matches, travel with manager Sam Allardyce under extreme pressure after defeat at Wigan on Boxing Day. They are without Joey Barton after the midfielder was charged with assault and remanded in custody until January 3rd - but striker Michael Owen has a chance of making a comeback.

West Ham v Manchester United

The champions, back at the top of the table, face West Ham - former club of the Red Devils' Argentina forward Carlos Tevez. United are likely to be without injured goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar and midfielder Owen Hargreaves but Korean winger Park Ji-Sung is fit again after major knee surgery.

Anton Ferdinand is back after injury yet Craig Bellamy (stomach), Luis Boa Morte (thigh), Lee Bowyer (groin), Kieron Dyer (broken leg) and Julien Faubert (ankle) head a list of absentees for the Hammers, who have not won any of their last five matches at Upton Park.

Everton v Arsenal

Arsenal - looking to snatch back the Premier League lead at Goodison Park after drawing 0-0 against Portsmouth - are without Dutch striker Robin van Persie, who has a muscle injury, and Theo Walcott (flu). Denilson is banned but skipper William Gallas is fit despite an ankle knock picked up against Pompey.

Everton - unbeaten in 11 matches before losing to Man United a week ago - cannot call upon injured players Andy van der Meyde (calf), Leon Osman (ankle), Leighton Baines (hamstring), Alan Stubbs (calf) or Iain Turner (hip).

Portsmouth v Middlesbrough

Captain George Boateng is banned for Boro while former Pompey midfielder Gary O'Neil is doubtful with a hamstring problem and centre-half David Wheater is suffering from a virus, meaning he may miss out.

Portsmouth's Sean Davis could join defenders Glen Johnson and Linvoy Primus on the sideline with a hamstring strain.

Wigan v Aston Villa

Wigan striker Emile Heskey may feature for the Latics as he bids to overcome a sprained ankle. Midfield playmaker Jason Koumas has a groin injury and is expected to be missing.

Villa have no injuries to concern them, but centre-half Zat Knight is out after the Football Association rejected an appeal against his red card at Chelsea.

Tottenham v Reading

Reading midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson is suspended after his red card at West Ham on Boxing Day while wide men John Oster (ankle) and Glen Little (heel) are also absent.

Didier Zokora is available again for Spurs following suspension while Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson may also return. However Gareth Bale (ankle), Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) and Ricardo Rocha (hip) are out.

Birmingham v Fulham

Fulham's Moritz Volz will serve his one-match ban for being sent off against Tottenham in midweek while the managerless Cottagers are also forced to cope without Jimmy Bullard (regaining match fitness after 16 months out), Brian McBride (knee) and Lee Cook (knee).

City are only without long-term absentees Stuart Parnaby (ankle) and Borja Oubina (knee).

Sunderland v Bolton

Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has a wrist injury and faces a late fitness test while defender Joey O'Brien is back after a hamstring problem.

Sunderland have Liam Miller again available after suspension, but Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring) and Russell Anderson (ankle) remain sidelined.

On Sunday

Derby v Blackburn [13:30]

Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage and left-sided defender Stephen Warnock return after suspension but centre-half Andre Ooijer (hamstring) is out.

County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater is a major doubt after injuring himself while warming up before the defeat to Liverpool, during which stand-in Lewish Price performed admirably, while Stephen Pearson (dislocated shoulder) joins Robert Earnshaw, Andy Griffin and Marc Edworthy - all calf victims - in the stands. Paul Jewell has recalled striker Jon Macken from a loan at Barnsley to replace Earnshaw on the bench.

Manchester City v Liverpool [16:00]

Fifth-placed Manchester City host fourth-placed Liverpool looking to bounce back with a win after losing their 100 percent home league record in Thursday night's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers. Midfielder Michael Johnson could play after an abdominal strain while Finnish central defender Sami Hyypia is Liverpool's main doubt.

Winger Jermaine Pennant (broken leg) is missing while centre-half Daniel Agger is set to make a return from a broken foot. Striker Peter Crouch serves the final match of a three-game ban.
