Celtic (1) v Gretna (12)

Goalkeeper Artur Boruc is on course to return for Celtic after missing five games following a knee operation. Mark Wilson (knee), Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe (Achilles), John Kennedy (knee) and Shunsuke Nakamura (knee) are all still out of action, and Bobo Balde could keep his place in defence.

Gretna manager Davie Irons has no fresh injury problems to contend with for the trip to Celtic but he is not expected to field left-back Danny Grainger, who has agreed a January move to Dundee United.

Hearts goalkeeper Eduardas Kurskis is free of suspension but dislocated a finger in training this week and misses out, with Steve Banks likely to continue.

Midfield duo Laryea Kingston (ankle) and Andrius Ksanavicius (dead leg) are also both out, while striker Andrius Velicka (toe) is doubtful.

Strikers Nacho Novo and Jean-Claude Darcheville are both back in the Rangers squad.

Novo has been out of action since early November with a dislocated shoulder, while Darcheville has missed the last two games after a family bereavement.

Kilmarnock's Danny Invincibile is doubtful with a hamstring injury which kept him out of the Boxing Day victory over Hibernian.

Frazer Wright, Simon Ford and Eric Skora are still out with hamstring injuries, Grant Murray still has a knee problem, and Rhian Dodds is another absentee due to a hip injury.

Goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski will stay in the Dundee United side after extending his deal for another month.

Defender Christian Kalvenes has been diagnosed with a back problem so will remain on the sidelines, but midfielder

Craig Conway has come through another week's training and is pushing for a place. Lukasz Zaluska (foot) and Keith Watson (knee) are United's only other absentees.
