Millwall boss Kenny Jackett believes his side were rewarded as they edged out of the relegation zone with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Cheltenham.Gary Alexander headed home the only goal of the game in the 55th minute - the Lions' leading scorer leaping highest to reach Dave Brammer's cross from the right to end Cheltenham's 446-minute shut-out.
"I thought we played well before and after half-time and it was just the final pass that was lacking," said Jackett.
"But I am very pleased with the win and the performance. We ran ourselves into the ground as we have done of late, but we have been unfortunate that results have not been going our way. There have been positive signs, but results have not been kind."
However, Jackett's night was soured by an injury to key midfielder Brammer.
"There was a very good contribution from Brammer, but a dampener on a very good night for us was that he twisted his knee ligaments and will be out for a month - so that's not good news for him," he added.
