Chelsea manager Avram Grant has reportedly failed in a £15million bid to sign Palermo striker Amauri.Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport claims that the Brazilian is also being targeted by Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Juventus and will not go for less than £18million.

Amauri - expected to take Italian citizenship after playing there for over five years in the country - has scored eight goals this season for Palermo in Serie A.

He has previously played for Napoli, Piacenza, Messina and Chievo Verona.
