Manager Darren Ferguson delivered a warning to Peterborough's promotion rivals as his side thrashed Lincoln 4-0 to return to top spot."We want to go up as champions," said a confident Ferguson after a brace of goals for both Aaron Mclean and Scott Rendell stretched Posh's unbeaten league run to 16 games.
Ferguson continued: "I really enjoyed watching this performance. It was outstanding from start to finish and has been coming for a long time. This has to go down as one of our best displays of the season and at a time when a lot of teams are feeling the pressure we are going out and winning games.
"We played with our chests out and a touch of arrogance and deserved to win well in front of a big crowd and against local rivals. I was very pleased for Rendell, who gives us something slightly different in attack playing just off the front men."
