Onuora: Our defending was poor

Sun 30 Mar, 06:45 PM

Lincoln assistant manager Iffy Onoura admitted his side had gifted Peterborough their goals following their 4-0 defeat at London Road.Posh went top after a brace of goals for both Aaron Mclean and Scott Rendell stretched their unbeaten league run to 16 games.

Onoura, in temporary charge while Lincoln boss Peter Jackson battles against throat cancer, praised Posh but was less than happy with some of his side's defending.

He said: "Peterborough are a good side with quality in every department and are the best I have seen in League Two so far.

"But I am a proud person and on the day I was disappointed with some of the goals we conceded. I cannot fault goalkeeper Alan Marriott but we should have dealt with one of two situations a lot better."
