Darlington boss Dave Penney conceded his side are probably going to have to settle for a play-off place after losing 3-1 at home to Bradford. The Quakers went ahead when Clark Keltie fired home from the spot after Barry Conlon was adjudged to have handled inside the area, but fell apart in the second half with Tom Penford, Conlon and Joe Colbeck firing the visitors to victory.
Penney said: "It looks as though we are going to have to go up the hard way and there is a bit of negativity creeping in around the area, but we are trying to keep ourselves positive.
"The first half was excellent and Alan White had a couple of good headers but we couldn't get the second goal. It's important that we get people back in because the transfer window has now closed.
"We have another big game coming up on Tuesday and we'll have to see who is available and, while we still have a chance of automatic promotion, we will put out our strongest side."
