Primera Liga leaders Real Madrid extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after beating Sevilla 3-1 on Sunday night.Gabriel Heinze gave the hosts the perfect start when he scored in the eighth minute but Frederic Kanoute equalised after 38 minutes.

Xisco scored a hat-trick as Deportivo La Coruna romped to a comfortable 3-1 win at home to Murcia.

Deportivo recovered from a shocking start in which they fell a goal behind in the fourth minute courtesy of Quique De Lucas' header.
