Yeovil boss Russell Slade praised home debutants Asmir Begovic and Nathan Smith for their performances in the draw against Bristol Rovers.Goalkeeper Begovic went straight into the side following his arrival on loan from Portsmouth, while the Huish Park faithful got their first glimpse of left-back Smith.
Begovic went home clutching the man-of-the-match trophy after making brilliant saves to deny Richard Lambert, Stuart Campbell and Chris Lines.
Slade said: "He did a great job. I had to bring in a keeper when Crystal Palace recalled (Scott) Flinders and he was recommended to me by (Bournemouth manager) Kevin Bond, who said he had done a great job on loan there."
On Smith, who was playing for Potters Bar in the Ryman League a fortnight ago, Slade added: "He didn't put a foot wrong until the last minute when he was caught in possession.
"I think he's a real find. He was recommended to me by Steve Browne, who used to play for Yeovil, and I have now taken him on a contract."
