Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock felt his side were denied two clear penalties in their goalless draw against Blackpool at Selhurst Park.Nathan Ashton hit the deck after colliding with burly centre-half Ian Evatt after 13 minutes, and as the interval approached Scott Sinclair appeared to be tripped by the same defender.
Referee Anthony Taylor infuriated Warnock, though, by brandishing a yellow card at the on-loan Chelsea winger for a dive.
"Unfortunately the referee hasn't got technology," said Warnock.
"In all fairness Scott's feet are just too quick for him to see it. We had a look at half-time and the big man's leg caught his shin. The ref will recognise that when he sees it again.
"You could tell by the defender's reaction, he put his hands to his face because he thought he had given away a penalty. He was relieved to see the card for Scott.
"I think both would have been given had they been outside the box."
Blackpool manager Simon Grayson diplomatically claimed he did not see the incident but added: "When a player goes down your first reaction is it could be a penalty - so I'm delighted he didn't give it."
The Seasiders were well worth the point, however, which brought up their half-century and edged them a step closer to Grayson's survival target of 53.
Ben Burgess, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Claus Jorgensen all squandered decent first-half chances, while Julian Speroni pulled off a fingertip save to deny the impressive Wes Hoolahan late on.
"Their keeper had more to do than ours," added Grayson. "In the first half we were exceptional. We should have been more ruthless and clinical but you can't fault the effort of my players.
"Our front two players caused them a lot of problems and at half time we could have been two or three up.
"But credit to Palace, they came back after the break and you had to wonder how it ended 0-0.
"We are delighted to take a point from a side who are pushing for the play-offs."
Sinclair and fellow debutant Kyel Reid, on as a substitute at the break, gave Blackpool plenty to think about in the second half, while youngster Ashley Robinson could have won the game for Palace but headed straight at Paul Rachubka in stoppage time.
"It was a decent 0-0," added Warnock, whose team are still in with a shout of a play-off place.
"Both teams were going for the win, but it just wouldn't go in for anybody."
