Hector Guerra of Liberty Seguros won the 59th Llodio Grand Prix by over a minute from his nearest rival Jose J. Rojas.

Guerra completed the 176km circuit in a time of 4.11.57, with Rojas of Caisse d'Epargne coming in 1.01 seconds behind.

The Euskaltel-Euskadi pair of Aitor Galdos and Koldo Fernandez took third and fourth place respectively, while Guerra's Liberty Seguros team-mate Pablo Urtasun finished fifth.

Spanish competitors dominated proceedings, with the Portuguese Rui Sousa (Liberty Seguros) the highest placed non-Spaniard in 16th.
