Agogo hopes to be fit for Glovers

Wed 30 Apr, 03:00 PM

Nottingham Forest striker Junior Agogo admits he "would love" to be involved in Saturday's showdown with Yeovil after recovering from injury. The Reds could yet steal the second automatic promotion spot in League One if they better Doncaster's result against Cheltenham.

And the game is certain to have added spice as it will be the first time the Glovers have visited the City Ground since their stunning comeback in last year's play-off semi-final second leg.

Agogo has been sidelined for the last five games with a groin complaint but is expected to return to training on Thursday after recovering from the problem.

And the Ghana international could come into contention to face Town if he comes through a late fitness test unscathed.

He told the club's official website: "Everything feels okay - I will train on Thursday and then wait to see if the manager feels I'm ready. I would love to be involved."
