Jevons expects to take on Luton

Wed 30 Apr, 08:45 PM

Huddersfield striker Phil Jevons is confident he will be fit for his side's last game of the season against Luton this weekend. The 28-year-old has started just 17 games this season and has not featured for the Terriers since hobbling out of the 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool in March with a calf injury.

Jevons came through a reserve game against Leicester on Monday unscathed and is hopeful of at least making the bench against Mick Harford's relegated side on Saturday.

"I felt fine and really enjoyed the game," he told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

"There's just one match left now and I'd love to be involved, although obviously that's up to the manager. All I can do is put in some hard work in training between now and then."
