Luton manager Mick Harford has confirmed Northampton defender Brett Johnson will spend the rest of the season on trial at Kenilworth Road.Johnson was told by Cobblers boss Stuart Gray last week that he would not be offered a new deal at Sixfields and scored in a reserve game for the Hatters last Tuesday.

Harford said: "Brett has come in on trial from Northampton and has done ok.

"He hasn't played a lot of football lately so he will stay with us for a few more weeks.

"He will work with us on the training ground and have another reserve game so we can have a proper look at him."
