Little eyeing 'massive turnaround'

Wed 30 Apr, 05:15 PM

Wrexham boss Brian Little insists the club will be shrewd in the transfer market this summer after effectively releasing 14 players last week. Now a huge squad overhaul is expected at the Racecourse Ground following their relegation from the Football League.

But Little is not prepared to waste what money he has available as he plots the long-term future of the club.

"We will have a budget that is equivalent to most, if not better than most people in the Conference, but we are not going to run out and spend loads and loads of money," said Little.

"We are going to be in a position where we are going to be competitive in the division, I think that is almost a certainty.

"We will do everything that we possibly can to be good enough next season and that will not be our team for next season, we have already let 14 go so it is a massive turnaround, but it has got to be a massive turnaround."
