General manager Don Rowing believes Barnsley are making progress off the pitch as well as on it after announcing two new sponsorship deals.The Tykes secured their Championship status on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win over Charlton, having also been in the FA Cup semi-finals this season.

The club have signed a new kit deal with sportswear firm Lotto as well as announcing a main club sponsorship with Barnsley Building Society.

Rowing told the club's official website: "We want to bring this town together and unite the families of Barnsley behind this football club.

"We intend to take massive strides forward and the future is very bright here at Oakwell."
