Burnley have released out-of-favour midfielder Garreth O'Connor.
O'Connor's contract was due to expire in the summer, but he has been released early to give him the best possible chance of finding a new club.
Clarets boss Owen Coyle [pictured] said: "It's unfortunate for Garreth that it never worked out and we wish him well.
"He has worked hard during my time here and just never got a chance."
O'Connor, 29, joined Burnley in 2005 from Bournemouth but was placed on the transfer list in May 2007 and has since then has failed to break into the first team.
