Crewe youngsters AJ Leitch-Smith and Chris Clements have signed one-year contract extensions to keep them at Gresty Road until the summer of 2010.

The 19-year-old academy products were set to see their current deals expire in June but boss Gudjon Thordarson has offered the pair new terms, despite not having yet featured for the first team.

Striker Leitch-Smith has had successful loan spells with Newcastle Town and Halifax this season, while midfielder Clements have spent time on loan at Stafford Rangers.
