Boss Roberto Martinez has backed Guillem Bauza to blossom in the Championship after the striker signed a long-term deal at Swansea.Bauza scored 13 goals in his first season in English football to help the Swans claim the League One title.

The 23-year-old, who signed from Espanyol last summer, has been rewarded with a new contract and Martinez is tipping the youngster to improve at the Liberty Stadium.

"He is still a very young, but talented striker who I am sure will continue to blossom on the Championship stage," said Martinez.

"Everyone at the club is delighted to see him commit himself to the club for a longer spell.

"He's enjoying his football and I'm sure we will also all enjoy what he produces next season."
