Stockport chairman Norman Beverley sees no reason why his newly-promoted League One side cannot win another promotion next season.County climbed into the third tier after beating Rochdale 3-2 in the League Two play-off final at Wembley on Monday.

And Beverley is refusing to rule out the prospect of his side winning promotion to the Championship next term.

Asked whether it was possible, he said: "Yes. If we can keep that side together they're quite capable of going through the next division and playing well in the next division."
