Dave Jones believes several Cardiff players are reaping the benefits of the Bluebirds' amazing run to the FA Cup final.Joe Ledley, Aaron Ramsey and Darcy Blake were all included in John Toshack's Wales squad, while Gavin Rae and Kevin McNaughton linked up with Scotland and Steve McPhail was recalled to the Republic of Ireland set-up.

And Jones is adamant the call-ups have come as a result of Cardiff's run to the FA Cup final - which ended in narrow defeat to Portsmouth at Wembley.

"When you have half a billion people watching you it will inevitably raise your profile. It is not going to do you any harm anyway," Jones told the South Wales Echo.

"Perhaps it is a case of having been out of sight, out of mind for a while, then suddenly people realise what you are all about and you come onto the international radar a little.

"It has been good for some of our lads who thought maybe their international days were passing them by. In all the cases it has been well deserved."
