Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson believes the versatility of new recruit Russell Martin will prove invaluable to Posh next season.Right-back Martin, 22, is set to join Posh on a three-year deal when his contract at Wycombe expires.

Ferguson said: "Right-back was an area we needed to fill and I am delighted we have filled that position with someone I know will cope no problem in League One.

"He can play at centre back or centre midfield too, he fits the profile of the type of player we are bringing to this club and I am delighted it is sorted."
