Shrewsbury are hoping to tie up a permanent deal for young midfielder Asa Hall as soon as possible as the club builds for next season. The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan from Birmingham, was expected to sign for Town on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
However, although a deal has yet to be ironed out, managing director Rob Bickerton remains hopeful the club will secure his services.
"A deal with Asa has not yet been concluded," Bickerton told the Shropshire Star. "Nobody is in a rush at this stage of the summer but we would like to sign him."
Hall's agent Freddie Akehurst added: "It has been delayed because both myself and Asa have been away.
"It (a deal) is never cut and dry in football until something is signed. It is silly to try and pre-empt what is going to happen so we will just have to wait and see."
