Southend boss Steve Tilson has hinted he could try and re-sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Leon Clarke on a permanent basis in the summer.Clarke scored eight goals in 16 appearances during a loan spell at Roots Hall last season and Tilson is remaining coy over whether he will make a move for the 23-year-old.
"At the end of the day I'm not going to rule anything out with Leon," Tilson told the Southend Echo.
"I haven't spoken with Leon since the end of the season but we need to bring in a striker and I've made no secret of that.
"Nothing is happening just yet, this is always a very quiet time of year but we know who we want and will do our best to bring them in."
