World Cup holders Italy beat Belgium 3-1 in a pre-Euro 2008 warm-up match in Florence.
Antonio Di Natale scored twice to put the hosts 2-0 ahead at half-time, while Mauro Camoranesi extended the lead just after the restart.
On nine minutes Di Natale volleyed in Andrea Pirlo's cross, and finished from Alberto Aquliani's pass just before the break.
Camoranesi scored after good work from Di Natale's main rival in the Italy team, veteran Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero.
Wesley Sonck hit an injury-time consolation for a poor Belgium side with a 93rd-minute header.
Diminutive Udinese playmaker Di Natale, 30, is a relative newcomer to the international scene.
He made his debut aged 25 but did not feature regularly afterwards.
However, he scored twice in the crucial qualifying win over the Ukraine in 2007, has started six matches for Italy, and will be pushing for a starting slot alongside Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni at the championships.
Only 12,500 Italy fans came to see their team ahead of their departure to just outside Vienna to rehearse for the finals. Belgium have not qualified for the Euros.
