Chelsea have reportedly approached AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti about taking over as their new manager.
The Times and Daily Express quote 'sources in Italy' claiming the Italian has been approached to succeed Avram Grant at Stamford Bridge after the Israeli was sacked last week.
A double Champions League winner, Ancelotti would certainly represent the experience of European success that Roman Abramovich desires, and his Milan team do play the sort of attractive football desired at Stamford Bridge.
Ancelotti adds to the list of those linked with the role, after the Portuguese FA claimed Chelsea had approached them about Luiz Felipe Scolari.
As well as Scolari, Roberto Mancini is said to be one of the favourites for the role after Inter Milan confirmed his sacking and Russia coach Guus Hiddink is still being linked with the role.
