No fears over new manager for Robson

Sat, 30 May 09:16:56 2009

Barry Robson insists he has no fears about losing his place in the Celtic side under a new manager.

Hoops midfielder Robson is looking forward to working with Gordon Strachan's successor and is encouraged by the calibre of candidates who have been linked with the role.

A new boss will doubtless have his own ideas and may want to make changes to the squad.

But Scotland star Robson, who Strachan signed from Dundee United in January last year, believes Celtic's players have their destinies in their own hands.

He said: "What happens if Gordon Strachan brought me here and I didn't do the business? He's not going to play you.

"If the new manager comes in and you don't do the business, he's not going to play you. If the new manager comes in and you do the business, he's going to play you."
