Peterborough defender Craig Morgan believes Newcastle will find it difficult to achieve instant promotion to the Premier League next season.
The Magpies have been installed as 9/2 favourites to win the Championship after being relegated from the top flight on the last day of the season, but Morgan claims it would be a poor bet.
The 23-year-old Wales international is looking forward to playing at St James' Park next term as it will be the biggest stadium promoted Posh will have ever played at.
"I watched the game against Villa and even though it was the last throw of the dice for them, they never really looked like getting anything from the match," Morgan told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
"St James' Park will be a difficult place to go to as they will have a large crowd behind them and if they do get some momentum early on I`m sure they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
"But the Championship is a very tough league to get out of as many big teams have found in recent seasons."
