Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has claimed the new south stand at Bloomfield Road will be completed in October.
Oyston revealed he is relishing the prospect of club icon Jimmy Armfield opening the new stand.
"Mid-to-late October is the latest finishing date we've got regards the south stand," Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette.
"It is price sensitive rather than programme sensitive, but having said that I don't think there's going to be any benefit now to delay it in order to hold out for better prices.
"So it's full steam ahead really with it now and it"s going OK."
He added: "There will be a real lump in the throat when the stand opens and Jimmy is there to take part and see it all happen.
"We'll make a big deal of it because he more than anyone deserves every accolade that anyone can give him."

should have been started on when the final whistle went when we won promotion to championship two years waiting still no stand great weather no men on site too busy building houses
