Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson has lost patience in his bid to sign defender Graham Coughlan from League Two rivals Rotherham.Simpson had been chasing the 33-year-old Irishman for six weeks, but has pulled the plug after failing to complete the deal.
Simpson said: "Graham's a player who I still like, I'm not going to deny that, but things have dragged on for so long now.
"I've had to make a decision and I've pulled out of the move for now.
"I've spoken to Graham and he's disappointed. All in all it's been a little bit of a disappointing finish to it."
Coughlan arrived at Rotherham in July last year following his release from Sheffield Wednesday. His previous clubs also include Blackburn, Swindon and Livingston.
